Brow lift also known as forehead lift is a very effective procedure as it brings about a youthful look and enhances the overall appearance of the face. It adds charm and grace to the face.
A brow lift is a method where the tissue and skin on the forehead are lifted to diminish wrinkles and lines. Since the forehead and brow are linked one impacts the other. Elevating the forehead corrects the skin on the upper eyelid substantially. It lifts droopy brows while also correcting lines on the forehead that can make one’s appearance look angry, sad or tired.
At Chelsea cosmetics, Dr Attalla ensures that all treatments produce natural looking results.
Some of the root causes of droopy brows are:
- Loss of volume above or around the eyebrows.
- Supporting ligaments around the area could start to get saggy
- Impact of gravity on the skin
- The depressor muscles may get hyperactive and this can lead to the eyebrows getting droopy.
- The elevator muscles in the forehead could be getting weak which is another reason for brows to sag.

How it Works
There are several approaches to correcting droopy brows.
Anti-wrinkle injections that are normally used for treating crow’s feet are also used for browlift. The orbicularis oculi depressor muscle in the area around the eyes eases due to the medication in the injection thus lifting the eyebrows to the required height.
Browlift can also be conducted using dermal fillers. The fillers replenish the skin by adding more volume making it appear fuller, younger while also making the eyes look larger.
Threads with tiny barbs are used to pull up the skin and hold up facial tissues. This makes the skin look youthful, tighter and elevates the brows to an appropriate height.
A silhouette browlift alters the skin on the forehead and brows by repositioning it thus making it tighter and creating natural looking results.
It is normal for the skin around the treated area to be sensitive. However it generally eases off in a few days or weeks. It is very uncommon to get an infection, although it is a possibility in case thread lift method is used.
Patients may find that their sutures become noticeable in cases where the procedure has not been performed competently. It is strongly recommended that such situations be reported to your cosmetic doctor immediately.
Amongst other symptoms, headaches, feeling a knot in the scalp, swelling or bruising are common. They usually last two to seven days.
